98 civic coupe dx with header to stock exhaust to 2 1/4 axleback to muffler w/ silencer. Car sound good until it hit 3k rpm in every gear. Sounds like vtec kicks in and I don't have that. No matter what the throttle position is it gets raspy. Any ideas. No cat. Just resonator in stock piping.
