Default Turbo spitting oil. Need advise.

I purchased a gt28rs duel ball bearing turbo. The guy that had it before put an adapter (without oil restrictor) on turbo and JB welded it in there. The turbo is spitting out oil from compressor outlet. My question is if I can adapt a restrictor on the adaptor he put on there would this possibly fix the problem or am I screwed cause oil oil blows past the seals the seals are done?

Hard to say. Get rid of the adapter altogether (JB Weld... my god) and use a proper .030" restrictor. Only then will know if you bought a paper weight.

If the seals on the turbo are leaking is it to late, like an oil pan gasket?

For a ball-bearing cartridge, yes. the turbine sealing ringland is highly toleranced. if it goes, use the turbo as a door stop

gt2860rs is a ball bearing and ball bearing turbo need oil restrictor .030
you can buy .030 restrictor on ebay (authentic-boosting) but make sure is a steel fitting
make sure you have the good thread gt turbo have m11X1.0mm thread on oil feed
you can try with the restrictor before change the turbo you can be lucky

areyou sure your oil return are fine sometime with the fiting on the pan the turbo can smoke or spitting oil
look my return line where I plugged
