well I just picked up this 90 civic Si for $400
I saw that it was an Si and pulled over to check it out it was sitting with weeds growing up all around it

the guy let me look at it and I popped the hood and found a ZC engine

The guy says to me "so what engine does it have?"
I tell him oh just the regular engine

I offered him 400 and he took it
sucker....


its lowered on coilovers with tokico blues all around, ZC engine with Si 5 speed trans

Its missing the driverside Si seat

and all the molding and **** has been spray painted white

but I drove her home no smoke pulls really hard!

he's a sucker for selling you an engine that is equivalent to what it would have came with? alright then. at any rate, as was said above, looks like you have your work cut out for you.

 

yeah when he asked me what engine it had I was like oh man.......this guy has no idea
I drove it like 150 miles yesterday with no problems also btw

 

not equivalent the zc has more agressive cam timing mahn

hes a sucker for letting it go for 400, he didnt even know it was an Si

 

ok "mahn". i guess so if you consider an extra .001" of lift something substantial.

doesn't matter what he knew or didn't know, that is every bit of $400 worth of car from what i can see. call it a deal if it makes you feel better.

Today I went to replace my window regulator since the window wasnt rolling up correctly and I discovered that the regulator only had 1 bolt in it, so I replaced the other three bolts and lined it up, window rolls up perfect now

 

how's the quarter panels on it?
it's hard to find ANY Honda here for $400... so if the rust isn't bad, I'll be so jealous.
just saw a minty set of 90-91 Si Civic seats here for sale for $40...

 

quarter panels are good, some light surface rust, but nothing going through,
wish I could find a set that cheap near me!
they go for like 200 on cl here

Nice find for so cheap. Wondering why it needs de-ricing. Looks like some bodywork and paint and it will be nice.

 

just that most of the interior has been painted and I hate painted molding and side mirrors, plus the clear corners..... Idk, just seams riced to me

today I ordered new shifter bushings to get rid of the slop in my shifter..... got the energy poly ones.....cant wait for them to get here... and post up the DIY

man everybody in washington is trying to sell an ef for like 1800 plus.

 

yeah same here in the portland area, I find all my efs in fields covered in algea and a few years worth of dust and usually pay only a few benjis

gas prices are high and when they are ef are like gold

 

thers a kid in oak harbor wa sellin a decent one for a grand iirc

its in the skagit craigslist its green incase anyone cares

so I have been thinking of going turbo with my zc, figured I would collect the parts piece by piece ...... was driving down the road yesterday and spotted this in the road, I thought to myself " that looks like a stainless steel braided line new in the package, I need one of those!" pulled over and picked this up
