dam car won't start its trying to start and it wont start ?

 

How did you screw it up? Have you tired reseting your ECU? Disconnect your negative battery wire for awhile, then see what happens

 

There are many very helpful and knowlegable people here on this board, but you need to be clear and give as much detail as possible when soliciting help. I'm sure that if you took the 2-5 minutes of time to completely and clearly describe your problem and symptoms in complete sentences, we could be of more help you.

I'm still not 100% sure what you are trying to ask. But if the car is cranking, but not starting, then you can rule out the Immobilizer as an issue. The Immobilizer interrupts the starter. So if it was really an Immobilzer problem, you would not be able to crank the car.

while we are on the subject.. i just got my prelude and i want to know what the immobilzier system does or how does it work?

 

Well there's a "high tech" chip inside your key, and that chip has a code, when you start you car that code is sent to the ECU which varifies it and if the code matches the ECU code or whatever it matches the car will start. If someone puts another key in, the ECU will reconize that the user has the incorrect key the ECU will not allow the car to start.
Don't tell anyone, or else every honda and acura will be stolen keep it on the DL.
