helpin my buddy with boosting his car
im helping my buddy do a budget build on his 89 acura integra gsr it has the b16a1 i guess wat kind of tuning setup do i need so it dont feel cut i dont know that much about honda's can anyone help?????????????????????????????????????????????? ????
There is no 89 gsr....and highly highly doubt its rocking an early edm b16a1.
He needs to think of a power goal
piece together a kit that will get him there
injectors, pump, regulator, wideband, and a dyno-tune

^are you sure its an 89? w/ the flip up headlights?
Just cause someone was dumb enough to put a fake *** gsr emblem on their car doesn't make it one.
Why would it say b16a1 on the bottom of the hood? You get the engine code from the block.
B16a1 is a super rare edm motor that was only rated @ 150ps. Before starting a thread, not knowing anything about honda's....get the simple facts strait first to avoid confusing and stupidity

ahhhhhh!!!! I bet on the block it says D16A1...not b16a1. D16a1 is the factory motor that came in the 1st gen integra's. It is dual cam and such a lame motor. I wouldnt mess with it.
wow...when you say you dont know much about honda's you really mean you dont know **** about em. If it doesn't have the flip up headlights and its a regular integra? What the hell does that mean? There are still two more body styles. So is it the 90-93 teg w/ the rectangular lights or 94-01 w/ the two round headlights?
Like I previously stated above....get the SIMPLE facts strait before starting a thread to avoid confusing and stupidity.
Sad that we still dont know what car your talking about or what effing motor is in the car. If the car does not have flip up headlights, the 86-89 d16a1 will most likely not be in any other integra except the 86-89 cause the motors are lame. Most people will swap them into 88-91 civic's cause its basically the same motor as the jdm dohc zc motor and its still a step up from single cam.
Find your friends registration and look at what bloody year the car is.
And pop the hood and look at the block to the left of the exhaust manifold and read the engine code.
Not that hard.
