Icon2 mpfi swap problem code 04 poping up.

Hey peeps I am in the middle of doing a mpfi swap on my 90 dx hatch and i'm running into a problem when starting car, with a 04 code coming off the pm6 ecu. I have a jdm zc non vtech that I just put in my ride and it came with dpfi set. Was running fine but looking for a bit more hp. Now i'm running in to a code 4 problem coming from the ecu. I have adjusted the time and checked all the wiring a few times and all is good. EVERY thing is soldered and heat shrinked with new wire. the dizzy was off a running car and plugs n wires are good. dont know what else to check. Any info is appreciated thanks.

code 4 is usually a bad distributor or problem with distributor wiring, namely orange and white wires switched

you can replace just the sensor, but nobody sells it. honda sells the complete housing (i think it was about $300), and auto parts stores do not sell it. so you would have to get one (take apart a distributor) at the junkyard and snag just that sensor. taking apart those old distributors can be tricky as most of the bolts/screws that hold them together seem to round off or break.

this is why most people just replace the entire distributor.

code 4 is crank sensor which is ECU pins B10 and B12, not C1 and C2 - C1 and C2 are cylinder sensor

just got back from work will check those wires in the am and post back. on a side note took the car out on a test drive and run pretty good, you can tell the differance right away between the two systems. just have to get ride of the code 8 and start working on the rest of the car.
