does any one use one? I want to keep my stock indash changer and wire a sub amp, and I was wondering what brands are better,ect..any personal imput would be appreciated..thx
So do us Tweeter guys.....Pac,audio link, xtant any good brand name...avoid the ones with a power line in them...you are just asking for trouble.....so i guess you have the answer.
I had a thought...has anyone taken or made rca's ( yes it can be done) and connected speaper output directly to them and feed this into the amp...I see what im gonna be doing this weekend.

I have a 10band MTX EQ that has high and low level inputs. So thats what I used with my stock deck. Plugs into a Fosgate Punch 200ix, and a PPI Flat Piston 10. Sounds alright, I need a new deck though. Stock just isnt cuttin it!
xtant actually claims that thier inputs are so strong and that they amplify the signal enough that they say you can do that (x series amps only). it actually works....well
yes they are...that where it got the idea from...and i was thinking since most amps can handle a 2volt avg input ( and im not some yahoo who wants to do this)..I planned on doing a little expriment this weekend...this should be fun.

most of the line level converters I know of use a step transformer in them. You could try to use resistors to build a voltage divider. I think this is what the cheaper convertors use.
