FYI something 4th gen I ran across the other day
First off, I've owned this lude for over 7 years and have learned much about it and cars in general over the years. Well, for the last 3-4 years I have been dealing with intermittent ABS lights, some days it would throw a code, other days not. The same code all the time, the one for the brake system that checks the e-brake and master cyl level. At the same time, the light for the e-brake would not illuminate. Next, sometimes the ABS system would kick off (audible noise) and the ABS light would not illuminate. Well, I finally took the center gage cluster apart a couple days ago and found the ribbon cable between the main circuit board and the one with the idiot lights on it had quite a few broken solder joints. Well, I fixed the solder joints and put it back in and no more ABS codes! I was pretty excited. Hope this might help someone in the future.
