Default Oil Pressure light Flickers at idle

I just did a oil change and I also changed my oil pressure light switch. Now when I let the car idle the oil pressure light comes on either dimly or flickers on and off. I checked the oil level it is good. I never had this problem before. What could it be.

Make sure the wire connected to the oil pressure switch has a good tight connection.

I checked it and it is connected tight but some of the plastic cover has broken off could that cause it. It only does it when the RPMs are below 700, when they go above the light goes off. What the light does is it will go on dimly at just below 700 then flash bright at around 600 and stay solid below that. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks the the idea Jmb106jr.
