Removing alarm - wiring questions
I'm in the process of removing the python alarm installed on my car by the previous owner and had some questions about two of the wires.
The black/white wire in this pic was spliced and routed to

this bundle of wires

Do i remove the splice and join the black/white wire back together then get rid of the extra bundle of wires?
Also i found a blue wire thats spliced to a yellow wire as you can see in this pic

the blue wire goes back to this bundle of wires mentioned previously and i haven't had a chance to trace it back further. Does anybody know where its attached to?

Sorry for the noob electrical questions, this is all new to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like that you have a relay to kill the ignition. If you want to remove it, just join the factory black/white wire back together. As far as the blue wire, that is probably part of your alarm and maybe the siren wire... Hope that this helps...

I recommend just buying a new ignition switch harness they're cheap and will keep you from having connection problems

I can ship you one if needed be about $60total

Wow. This is why I spent the money for the plug and play harnesses.
The blue to the yellow is most likely for the trunk switch. It should be a grounding trigger. Do you have the wiring diagram for the alarm to verify this?

Thanks for the help guys. Yeah i wish the previous owner had used a plug and play harness cause the "quick" splice thingys they had in place servered/chewed up my wires. A lot of them were coming apart too which is probably why i've been having electrical issues.
I wish i had a diagram to see where all the wires go. So far i traced a red wire that went to the siren and now i just need to find out where the blue/yellow wire goes. Hopefully i don't have to tear up the back panels..
