I was wondering if anyone was planning on attending the Street Legal Drags this weekend in Fontana.

It's $10 to be a spectator and $10 for a tech card. You can buy more than one tech card to be able to run in more than one group. They will have "X" amount of groups depending on how many people show up. They run the groups one after another. You get the idea.

I still dont get why they don't allow full race cars. Where can we even get seat time in So Cal? They can make so much more money if they would open it up to race cars.

 

I heard its crazy trying to get a run in those Test n Tunes at Fontana especially with a dedicated full race car.

Some people buy multiple tech cards just so you can make more passes. Thats just too much. It shouldnt be like that.

To fasthatch. they really dont need to open up to race cars because its already at capacity with just the regular street cars.

 

I agree. When I lived in SC, Darlington had Test-N-Tune every Wednesday and it was awesome! You would have a Dodge Caravan in one lane and a tubbed out Camaro was in the right lane.
It gave the race guys seat time and the average guy a fun day just to drive fast.
Why Fontana doesnt jump on that.... I havent a clue. You could charge $20 a person and make a ton and would cover track costs. It is what it is.

 

we are going to bakersfield. its a better track, i like the staff. and not as crowded!

 

How much further is bakersfield?

 

I would like to go there as well, but its 4.5 hours away from me.
