Hi everyone,

im just trying to build a little directory of basemaps that people can download on my website for free, I did the same when i was running a megajolt ecu in my mini and its filled up really well with people's basemaps and helps alot of people out.

I found it really hard to find basemaps to download to get started with, and the ones i bought from tuners online ran really rich and wouldnt drive well, it stuttered badly under 2000rpm and was a waste of money which ill never get back. In the end someone sent me a good reliable map, which got me to the rolling road to get set up properly.

What i need to know is what are the possible extensions for the file types? I need to enable them on the server so they can be uploaded.
so far i enabled *.skl, *.re4 and *.zip

are there any other extensions i should enable for people? hope this works out to help some other people out! is it ok for me to post the link in my signature? let me know if this is against the rules ill take it off, thanks

 

.ncl for NepTune RTP. Disable .zip or you'll have malicious things uploaded.

it is something i worried about though!

 

Firewall won't do anything... if someone uploads a malicious file within a zip, someone downloads, and stupidly runs it because the name sounds legit... bam.

 

ahhh ok i see how you mean, sorry i thoguht you meant infecting the server.
ill scan each file before i publish them, maybe i should have a disclaimer and warning to people too to be more cautious
