Honda Accord 2000 EX low voltage
My car starts up fine most of the time and almost randomly the car won't start up. The battery signal is showing on the dash and that's all. As soon as I put the charger on the battery a few minutes later it starts perfectly. Any ideas?
What exactly happens when it doesn’t start? Is it cranking normally, slow, or not at all?
Test the voltage at the battery (both at the actual battery terminals and then at the cables). Is it at least 12+ volts in each case? If they are both low, you may have a bad battery or the alternator isn’t charging. If the reading at the cables read lower then you have some oxidation on the battery posts/cable clamps – clean them and try again.
