Like the title says... It was just a thought that popped into my head for when the dash comes out of my 95 Prelude thats currently under the knife.

I was only curious because I like the 5th gen a ton better compared to the
4th generation dash.

 

Damn I was thinkin the same thing!

 

Anything can be made to work with enough time and effort, but it seems like it would look pretty bad where the 5G dash meets the 4G door panels.

 

Yeah that part would look pretty bad unless you swapped door panels too lol

 

Then it will look bad where the 5G door panels meet the 4G rear interior panels

 

then you could swap the 5g rear panels in for the 4g panels...hahahaha

 

Then the back seats wouldn't match!!!!

 

Well...the 5g backseat don't look to bad either hahahahaha

 

The 4th gen dash's are so unique! Keep it!

All day every day. In all aspects.

 

For the money it would take to look nice...you may be able to just buy a 5th gen. The 4th gen dash is what makes the car one of the most unique on the road. If you want a 5th gen dash, buy a 5th gen.

 

5g dashes look like every other Honda... Stick with the 4g cockpit feel. Everytime someone gets into my 19 year old car thy cOmment on how cool the dash is... Switch to el gauges out of a 95-96 if you want a nice change

 

i agree with all that was said... 4th gen interior > 5th gen for sure.

 

I looked at putting my 4g interior into my 5g after stripping and parting my si. The windshield line is much different, it would have a large gap in the middle in your car, and the door panels are about 4" shorter on a 5th gen. And the roofline and rear seat setup is quite different under the interior.

But yes it would have been cool to do.
