how do you paint your interior
i have a 98 civic and i want to paint the interior of the car, but i need some help about what steps i should take to paint the interior like the molding , ac vents, where the power windows are, also what type of paint should i use that wont chip i know i should clear coat it , but i need brand of paint, could i find it in a auto parts store? pls help
u can use spray paint... but u MUST use a primer before the paint goes on... if u dont use a primer... the paint will not stick right and it will look like ****!!! trust me... i'v done it... if u have more questions... im me... i dont go to this forum much...
I've just started painting my interior. Don't just use any spray paint to do it. Go to a model store and get some model paint. You can get it in spray cans. The reason being, model paint is made for plastic. As the plastic expands and contracts the paint will go with it instead of cracking or peeling. Clean the surface, sand lightly, spray plastic primer, spray with paint, spray with clearcoat. Use several coats of paint at least.
Oh, and a word of advice, I have just started mine and I (stupidly) chose white. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY COATS IT TAKES TO GET WHITE TO LOOK PROPER!????? Well I'll tell ya, about 7!! It's so damn thin, and you have to use extremely light coats or it goes watery.... damn white...
