Default 7000rpm on b20b?

so i just swapped in a 97 jdm b20b in my teg and did few runs shifting at 6700and accidently once at 7100 for a sec when i downshifted. when i got home i checked the specs on my motor and it said the redline is 6300. should i be ok i have a chipped ecu with a ls basemap tuned on a mystery motor. what should i shift at safely? it feels like it makes power untill 6700.

Just a stock b20? Stock valve springs, cams, ect? My opinion...not much more than 300rpm or 400rpm past stock redline. The last thing you want to do is rev the **** out of it all the time and float a valve...

Something else that just hit me...aren't the Jdm B20's labeled as B20Z motors, not the B20B's that are in the states?

B20z is just a higher CR version of a b20b
