Default CEL 1259

So this past Sunday my cel decided to come on. Went home scanned it and it was 1259 vtec malfunction. As I left the house it wouldn't rev past 4k then a few seconds later it ran like nothing happen CEL still on. I had my girl take my car since she only drive about 8miles to work and I drive 75. The CEL not on when she went to work in the mooring till later that day it's been on ever since. I already changed the oil replaced the oil pressure switch not the vtec one simply the one for the light. And replaced the vtec spool filter still have the same issue. I bought a new vtec spool which I'll be replacing today hopefully that fixes it. I've read many posts with this issue but none have a solution. If anyone has one let me know. Thanks in advance. Sorry for the long post.

glad it worked out for you, just for future reference for any one else searching this thread a low oil condition will also cause this malfunction. First time I ever saw this code was on an 02 rsx-s, checked the oil and it was 3.5 qts low, apparently there wasn't enough oil pressure to engage vtec and hence the p1259 code...I guess thats what the kid gets for not checking or changing his oil for 10k miles
