Valve Adjustment for 97 Integra GS
I was just told by the Acura dealer that my check engine light is on b/c I need a valve adjustment done. How can I do this myself to save $150 of having them do this?
Just to check, you should short the SCS connector and see what code you are getting. It is possible that if the valves are too tight, that your car could be setting a misfire code. But your problem may be something else entirely-the only way to know for sure is to pull the code.
Yes, Acura told me it was a misfire code... that was what prompted them to tell me to have the valve adjustment done. However, I do not know how many misfire codes there are...but I assume it's the same fix for all?..... Thanks for your help!
