I am currently rebuilding a z6 to put in my 89 HB but im indecisive of tranny option. i have the thought that my 91 si tranny might need some work and i dont want a hydraulic one. So what would be the more affordable route towards this transmission dilemma, i am in the market for a sohc zc lsd tranny but it needs a intermediate shaft and i dont know if it would mount to the z6 or what axles and clutch to use? Or do i look to rebuild my 91 si tranny, if so rebuild kits? or shops? Im slowly doing this z6 rebuild for my 89 ed6 and im curious about the iac plug do i have to cut and solder the new plug or use the a6 one? and would it be more reasonable to cut the injector plugs and solder the obd1 ones, and im using a jumper from obd0-1? sorry bout the ramble in one thread but trying to save some constant typing went to the range today and my hands are sore as hell. thnx And yes Tyson i know you have one for sale which i might possibly buy later on, but trying to save a little bit of dough.

 

Rebuild the Si transmission and install an aftermarket lsd?

 

i could do that but not really interested in the LSD yet. want to finish this build and get it fully running before putting in aftermarket mods, in rebuilding the transmission what should i look for as to wat needs to be replaced?
