Which Valve Train is best?
Ok well i was doing research on which valve train would be best for my setup for my Daily Driver & i came up across that Ti Retainers arent that good only last a sertant amount of miles until they start to wear out ...
This is what i got to be my Set up for my daily driver Application so far on
JDM B18c GSR
Skunk2 IM or Proformer x IM debating on which
Skunk2 valve springs & Ti retainers Not sure about the Ti retainers tho
Hondata s300
quaife LSD
Skunk2 Stage 2 cams
Ive Heard Supertech & skunk2 Ti retainers have had many problems but i wanna knw which valve train can be good for daily driver.

I jst got tlking one of my friends engine builder & told me i can use skunk2 valve springs with my stock retainers but advised me to replace my stock ones for new ones that way both retainers & springs are new & not one new & other starting to ware out..so i should be fine as long as i dnt rev past 9500 & for my purposes 9500 at the track...& daily driver 8500....

The older titanium retainers did have wear problems. You should inspect them for wear anytime the valves are adjusted. I have had Skunk 2 titanium retainers on my GSR since 2002. I have not noticed any issues, but I still inspect them. Some manufacturers added a nitride coating to reduce the wear effects of the titanium.
