Problems with d16zc
I have a sohc mini-me swappd obd0 d16zc in a 89 ef hatch. and my buddy borrowed the car for a week. left the lights on one night and drained the battery. he went to jump the car and jumped it backwards. doh!
so now it won't start. all fuses are good, new main relay, new ecu. the car is getting fuel, I can smell it. but #3 has no spark. timing looks to be dead on and I'm really struggling here. anybody got any ideas. I would really appreciate it. this is my dd and I really need to get it going again. actually, I'll donate 20 dollars via paypal to the person that offers a solution that fixes my problem. how's that for incentive?

Always start with the K.I.S.S. method. Did you check the actual spark plug? as well as did you trace it from there back from there through the distributor, ect?
The reason I say that is because I had an 02 Cavalier one time that was jerking at high RPM's. $200 later I was ready to pull the flywheel out to see if it was messed up, and it turned out it was just miss firing.

If you jumped it the wrong way then you most likely fried some electrical component. You said it has a new ecu was this before or after jumping it? And if your sure it has fuel then your not geting spark. It could be your ignition switch, main relay or distributor(crank sensor, ignitor, ignition control module, cap or rotor). And what do you mean by a mini mi obd0 d16zc, a d16z6 obd1? or...
