Problems with front strut bar on 91 hatch
I recently bought a 3 point front strut bar from PasswordJDM for my hatch thinking that it would be an easy fit. I found that when I went to bolt it on that my Exhaust manifold is slightly in the way. Does anyone know what i should do? I was thinking that I could get some kind of spacers that would raise the bar up a bit so it would fit over the manifold????

im thinking i could just bend it a bit to keep it from hitting the manifold??? Someone please help me out i really dont want to send this thing back.
what motor you.
The password 3 point hit on the intake manifold and map sensor of the b16 with HCP mount.
Temporarily I removed the map sensor, used a couple big washers on the strut studs to space the bar up and then slightly bend the bar up in the center until you bolt it down. I put chunk of rubber between the manifold and bottom of the bar and ran like that for a bit.
In the end I sold off the bar and now looking for something else. Will probably go ultra racing.
You might get more help if you say your motor.

Bending the bar or using spacers would defeat the purpose of the bar. Unless your purpose is just to look like you know what your doing.

If possible, try and find a Neuspeed bar. Those I find have the best fitment for EF's. Modification to the strut bar in any way may cause it to lose the rigid properties that it applies to the strut towers.
I could see how bending the bar might do something but i dont see how spacers would effect anything???? I mean your securing the "spacers" down to the pillar so there shouldnt be any kind of problem.
