Icon7 EF hatch b16 newb build!!

Hello Matt here,

I bought a 91 EF hatch with a b16 from a 92-95 SiR in it from what I can tell. About to pull it out and start a rebuild. I have a honduh bud at school that is constantly telling me to "build it with this and this and that."So i want to do it right. I'm looking to do a mostly stock, daily driver sort of build.
I'm fishing for pointers on various parts from other models or true and tested aftermarket parts I should consider using, but I'll go oem everywhere I can.
I'll be searching the threads for harness tuck tips as well.

Got the motor and trans out yesterday. Much easier than I expected, but I've been working on a Mitsubishi the last year. So everything is easier. Still trying to get pics up!!

Posted a WTB on craigslist. This is what I ended up with.
  • b16a(down on pwr)
  • Hasport mounts
  • Axles out of an integra or something (not sure)
  • Most of an interior
  • and maybe a Quafe lsd?

Thanks for the replies. Glad I bought a car from one of the few honest tuners in middle TN..

And just a double check; The 94-95 del sol Si has the b16a as well? I've used 99-00 civic Si Helms up to this point. A few minor differences.

Del Sol Si = SOHC Vtec
Del Sol Vtec = DOHC Vtec

Block.

I'll have an ecu pic tomorrow. I was told its the larger Japanese ecu but to be honest, I'm still learning Honda.

if its obd0 look for pwo or pr3 on the ecu. pr3 would be the 'better one'. its awesome that it came with working hatch shocks. you never see that these days!

What are good headers these days? I've seen the Bisi ones, just not sure if I'm ready to drop $400+ for just the headers...

And Fritz- I won't have a complete interior, But ill have most of one. It'll go to soda blast and paint soon and then I can let you know.

Default Help!

Ok, so I'm fairly sure my motor is from a 1992-1995 JDM Honda CRX or Delsol.
What I'm trying to figure out is if using a pr3 ecu from a non-vtech b16a and a jumper that came my swap the best option? Or most common way?

Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.
