serious compression issue
okay guys.
im building an allmotor 82mm gsr...
I did a 1 layer (middle) HG with copper spray yesterday
Today, I find out the head was resurfaced 7 thousandths... the block was also resurfaced IDK how much.
I'm using pr3 pistons with flat valves...
I wanted around 12:4 comp. Now I think I'm at 12:8.
What do you guys think? I want it to make as much power as possible but I want it to be reliable at 93 octane since it's my DD.
With a 3 layer HG and regular valves comp should be at 11:5.
I'm scared is above and now I have to change the HG. I can always add the other layer but since I copper sprayed it I think I may have to buy a new one.

Have your combustion chambers CC'd to better determine what your compression ratio will be with various gasket thicknesses. That's the only way to really know.
I just went ahead and did the top and bottom layer. so now I'm running a two layer. had to take the cams and all off again.
lol... yeah man. for some reason I thought I would be at 12:4... I just re did the compression and all with the zeals calculator... with the .007 mill. and unknown block deck I set it at .10. giving the block .003 just in case. it puts me at 12:1... putting me at 12:4 with the flat valves. I should be good now on 93 octane.
