I have a transmission problem with a 2000 BMW 323i. Car is automatic. 152k on the motor/trans. 4 door. The problem is the car has trouble going into drive and reverse. Sometimes if you let the car warm up for a minute or so, it goes in fine. Other times it will need to be put in Park, and then put into Drive. Once in Drive, the transmission shifts through all gears fine. Insight anyone?

Well, given that this is HONDA-tech, and some transmissions just have their own unique problems/quirks that aren't universal to all makes due to construction and engineering solutions, I'd suggest strolling over to a BMW forum, local BMW/Euro car repair shop, or BMW dealership in search for a better answer than one you aren't going to get here. LOL
