anyways i was driving home from work last nite and i got pulled over in menlo park...******* cops i wasn't speeding or anything so i was like what the hell..anyways i recieved 5 fix it tickets for my car.he told me my exhaust was too loud..and its a type r exhaust..wut the hell ...i even told him it didn't exceed the 95 decibal ca law...anyways he gave me tix for ..ignition..headers...exhaust...licence plate...and clear corners..damn dude don't cops have anything bettter to do...it doesn't really matter i guess cuz i can just have my cousin sign off on the tix...but damn....

 

You can't sign off the "loud exhaust" ticket can you? When I got mine I couldn't just get it signed off, I had to see the state ref. Cops suck

 

yesterday was the last day for them to meet their quota for the month. i saw 5 cops on a 1 mile stretch of road. lucky for me everything on my car is legal.

This was perhaps the first post where it seems like the officers were at wrong...mainly with the stock ITR exhaust.

But if the colors of the corner lamps are ricey blue, or if your header isn't carb approved, don't bother.

 

as for the corners i have piaa amber bulbs in them...also for the intake.. i have a aem intake, and a dc header both with the carb numbers on them...also he was going to give me a another ticket for my car being lowered but he didn't .he said my headlights needed to be a quarter of a inch higher.....dude what a pain in the ***...

 

dude, i'd say fight it. don't take the easy way out, let that cop know he was in the wrong!

Call the office in which the officer works and request to speak with a supervisor...either ask him to review your citation, or request to make a formal complaint, as you were unfairly cited for being a younger person who is driving an Acura, becuase you were indeed in the right on all of the items except for the clear corners...if they don't have the DOT marking on them they are illegal.

You were unfairly cited and harrassed by the officer.

yea man tickets suck i just got one today. i was doing 45 in a 30 just crusing. cops are ********. they must have pulled over like 20 cars at that trap.

you should have just told him the exhaust was stock. Because....it is, just from a different integra.

 

it IS stock. tell the cops to look at it. they can't tell the difference.
cop was prolly hearing the AEM.

Yeah, tickets suck. But the poor guy who started the thread actually has something to complain about.

 

wow.. cops get pretty **** in your area's. The cops in my city are layed back. I live in ricer heaven too. Today i was pulled over and the cop told me my liense plate lights were out. My car is pretty low with an apex'i exhuast. He asked for my license and registeration and said.. hey your pretty organized (b/c i had them in a plastic paper cover) and he let me go. Total time he was next to my car 2 minutes.

 

after you get all that **** signed off... keep a copy of it all in the car with you, next time they pull you over.. you show them the paperwork.. if they still give you a ticket.. show it to the judge when you goto court and tell him that the moron couldnt read or something because he gave you a ticket for something he didnt have to...
