Default New to the forum (and to Civics)

Hey guys,

Wanted to introduce myself - I'm Dennis, and tomorrow I am trading in my 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege for a 2008 Honda Civic Si.

I've had a tumultuous relationship with my 'speed, having sunk too much money into repair work over the years. That said, I truly enjoyed putting on each of the 182,377 miles.

I'm picking up the Civic tomorrow, 4 door black Si.

The first mod I did to my 'speed was a short shifter and bushings. Can anyone make a recommendation on a short throw kit for a 2008 Si?

All the best,
Dennis

Welcome! There are several short shifter adapters for this car, if it was me i'd go with comptech or skunk2 personally(i have a 2011 and these adapters don't fit the 09-11). Shifter bushings are a good upgrade as well(i'm running hybrid-racing bushings) Also look into getting hondata flashpro, just got mine last night and all i can say is night and day difference and raises the question, "why the hell did it not come from the factory like this?!"

get the twm full replacement kit. its more expensive but it cleans up the feel of the shifter 10x. Much shorter throws and precise shifts

+1

check corsportusa.com for shifting upgrades. base bushings + shifter bushings + short shifter and you're set for about $100

the shifter will feel amazing. dare i say, alot like a gated shift box
