Default My Y49 build, all motor SOHC autoX fun!

Well I picked up a fairly mint Y49 barbados yellow 1990 CRX Si shell a few months ago after my car got hit in the driver door and quarter. The car came complete with full interior, just missing drivetraim and a front bumper. The plan is to continue running autox, i'm in SMF class with a bunch of FI Honda's and Cooper's, so i'm a little outgunned with my current ailing engine/trans setup, but I still manage to stay mid to upper pack usually. Hoping this new engine will help, as well as shaving some weight off the y49 and adding R comps later on. I've been using my black car as a test bed, all the suspension and the cam and external engine parts are already on it. Pics of said car.

I also am finally finishing up my 12:1 CR SOHC build as well, here's a list of goodies going under that yellow hood.

D16A6 block
1mm overbore PG6 pistons (76mm)
ARP rod bolts and head studs
ACL Race bearings
ACL gasket set
Cometic 76mm, .030" head gasket
OEM timing belt, thrust washers and various gaskets
D16Z6 head with port work and valve job via SCR Performance
Crower valvesprings and titanium retainers
Crower stage 2 camshaft
Edlebrock Performer X intake
AEM CAI w/K&N cone
RC Engineering 320cc injectors
Bisimoto V2 header
VRS 2.5" piping kit to Magnaflow muffler
Innovative 95a mounts

Trans:
OEM LSD ZC transmission
Replaced 3.88 FD with Si 4.25
Swapped ZC 5th for Si 5th gear
Exedy OEM replacement clutch
Fidanza 7lb flywheel

Once I finish putting this motor together, I'll drop it and the trans into the Y49, and tune it on Neptune myself. Eventually, I'd like to take it to Humble Performance in Tulsa.

Suspension:
Koni Yellow adjustable struts
Ground Control coilovers
450lb front/550lb rear spring rates
eBay 24mm extended top hats (front only)
Removed front sway
Suspension Technique rear sway (coming soon!)
Blox rear LCA's with ES Bushings
Energy Suspension master kit
Civic EX front spindles and 10.3" brakes w/ Integra calipers
ARP Extended wheel studs
ATE 300 DOT 4 fluid
Goodridge SS braided lines
949Racing 6UL's, 15x7.5" +42 offset
205/50 Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs
R Comps coming soon for the track!
GSR Fat5's for daily use.

Other:
Innovate LC1 wideband w/ Moates O-meter
Corbeau Forza driver seat, min red stitch Si passenger seat
Neptune/Demon RTP for tuning
Faze oil pressure and water temp gauges (they were free, lol)

Just a small update, the shop should be through with my head later this week or early next. Then, it'll be assembly time!

Thanks guys! I'm still waiting for the shop to call me, but I'm working out of town this week so I wouldn't be able to start anyway.

Julio, I do plan on switching to a Bisi cam later when I catch up from this build lol. I think I want to go to a Y7 valvetrain and cam to give a more linear powerband that with the vtec cam. Going to pm you, gotta question you can help with.

Still waiting on my head to be done o_O.

I managed to fix some wiring issues on the car where they had cut and added some wires for the OBD0 VTEC, VTEC controller and SAFC from the early 2000's.

In the last few days I finally ordered a V-Band for my header and a Suspension Techniques rear sway bar. I've got my next local autoX on the 24th, so I'll be trying to get the sway, my header and new exhaust on my black car for it, then swap it all over to the Y49 once it's done.

Ah yes, Autocross. Someday I'll be able to do it. You should have somebody take some video of the Rex at the event.
