So some of you that know i have bought a 88 crx si and as always when you buy a project car its gonna have a few problems. The windshield wiperson the car wont activate anymore. When i contacted the previous owner of the car and told me that the car needs some sort of box on the back side of the fuse block. Does anybody know what this sort of box is?

Big box on back of interior fuse box, looks like a old "GAMEBOY" as some people put it, should have a big A or B on it depending on if you have intermediate or not. Can take a pic if need be...

 

would i be able to pull it off of any honda?

you need whats called the ICU, integrated control unit. This is what you need :


Often they can be fixed if you know how to solder. Open up the ICU, and look for any cracked solder joints, reflow the solder , and try it again.


If its only your intermediate wipers that dont work its your ICU, if the wipers dont work at all check your fuses, or replace your wiper motor. ICU only controls the intermediate function of the wipers. B ICU is for cars with intermediate, A is for cars with no intermediate. you need to grab an ICU from any 88-91 CRX/hatch/sedan.
