I searched everywhere and couldn't find anything specific that matched my problem, so forgive this post if it already exists as I will have to forgive myself for what I've done to my car -
Jumper cables, low light, beer..backwards. Blew the battery fuse, I replaced it. Jumped it off again and it cranked right up like nothing had happened. I go to put it in reverse, (automatic trans.) and it dies as soon as I shift gears. And there's no more power to anything while the key is on but when i turn the key to the off position the radio turns on? Wierd. The new battery fuse is still good by the way. I know I fried something and really need someone to point me in the right direction of where to start checking.

 

maybe you melted some wires together...you probably need the honda place to check this one out.

 

if there's power to the radio when the key is off then couldn't I remove the ignition switch, hot wire it to start, and if the problem lies in the ignition switch everything should work just fine, correct?

 

maybe, but i would try to fix the problem.
