Default Window problem with regulator/rivet. motor still works but wont stay on track

i have the door panel pulled off, and can hear/see the motor spinning. i stuck the gears for the window track into the gears for the motor/regulator and they catch but it dosnt stay in. i cant tell there was a rivet holding the track to the regulator cause i found it and it was bent from years of use and i was wondering if there is a way to make another piece to hold it in, if it is infact why its not working. or where can i buy the rivet piece itself?

When the motor goes up, does it want to go down on it's own? Double check the legs on the regulator. It may be missing a rivet.

The plastic cable winder broke on the regulator caused my problems. Motor was fine.

Try lubricating the window track with silicon lubricant.

Are there rollers on the regulator assembly?
