Just out of curiosity, why'd you give up on the boost ?

Why, did you find that high ? The oil passage was welded shut, dowels repositioned, slight milling. Measurements properly done, it's not cheap, but that also depends where you take it to be done. You can get an ole machine shop to do all that for about 2 bills.

Yeah, but I took mine to be inspected, measured, drilled, milled, (oh yeah and tapped for an oil line w/ NPT fitting...umm... minus $50 from my price) It was done by a local shop that specializes in Ferrari heads and the guy only takes repeat customers
Ok, so I may have paid more... but I was confident in the job that was done... no guess work and a fully inspected/tested head.PS... $100 is good

Not really, a basic LSVT is very simple, oil lines and experience compreise the majority of the work after the head has been machined.
so let me get this strait..... if i got the block and head already.... then it should only cost me 350 to slap it together.... providing i put the motor in my self..

i would get 311 to do the work for me, but last time he put a d16 intake cam in my ls motor on accident and screw the head up . dont ask me how...
