what rims will fit
I have never been big on tires and wheels so all the rim and tire sizes i really don't understand yet. On top of the vast amount of parts i just replaced on my 90 accord ex i had a tire blowout on me. i bought it with aftermarket rims and the tires on the rims are 215/60/14. i have called and driven everywhere and no one carries these tires. got about 300 bucks on hand and i gotta work in two days so this problem needs to get fixed now.
are there any other sized tires that will fit on these rims? my rims say 14x6 35mm ar-24 on the back. i prefer to keep these rims so im wondering if there are any other more common tires that would fit on them
ok so im doing my best to reasearch this dilemma. i now understand the 14 is the rim size and the 6 is the rim diameter. the 215 is the tire diameter at its greatest and the 60 is the aspect ratio. the 14 just refers back to the rim size. still trying to figure out what the 35mm offset means and the ar-24... my car sits at stock height. how do i know what size tires i can switch to?

In the 14x6 the 14 is the rims diameter and the 6 is the width. The offset is irrelevant to your tire choices.
For the tire, the 215 is the width, the 60 is the sidewall height and the 14 refers back to the rim size.
Any tire shop should be able to help you pick out tires that will fit.

Any tire size that has xxx/xx/R14 will fit your rims.
The first three and two digits in the middle are just preferences as how you like it IMO. The higher the first three, the wider the tire will be. The lower the middle two digits are, the thinner your side walls will be and vice versa.

for reference, a 6" wide wheel is about 152mm. the 215 on your current tire size is tread width in mm. so you have more than an inch of tread "overhang" on either side of the wheel.
also the middle number is a percentage of sidewall to tread width. so the 195/60 will have a slightly smaller overall OD (and circumference) than a 215/60. that should theoretically improve your fuel mileage and acceleration. you can do the math if you want it to remain the same.
