Power steering pump noises
today my power steering pump makes a whining noise upon start up could it be the belt or pump it self. if it is the pump, what interchangable pumps can be used. thanks

Is the fluid level good..?
Jack up the car (on jackstands), top off the fluid, start the car, turn the wheels from side to side.
This fixed the noise problems I had on my teg.

Mine made that when part of the system broke. The pump started to heat up to 400+ deg according to my laser? The line from the pump to the rack collapsed inside and the fluid was going nowhere.
