2001 honda accord using oil (1 Qt per week)
I have a 2001 Honda Accord EX 4cyl with 143,000 miles. About a month after the dealer changed the timing belt, I started using a quart of oil per week. There are no oil leaks under the car and no smoke coming from the tail pipe. The dealer tested the head and found the number 3 cylinder head not holding pressure. They removed the head and sent it out for rebuild. Got it back, re-installed and a week later, the same thing. They have had it for 2 months and cannot find the problem. I looked at the block when the head was off and did not see any oil on the piston walls or any blue discoloration. The new re-built head #3 cylinder had oil showing again around the edge of the port.
They sent the head back to the place that re-built the head and they re-built it again but no luck. They tested the piston ring tolerance and found it within the Honda wear specs.
They are at a loss and do not know what to do next. They said they could pull the engine and replace the piston rings but they test OK. The cost would be an additional $1600. I am $1500 into this now after the head re-build.
Any ideas?

My '99 accord ex loses oil too. I lose about the same amount as you do and also find no leaks and don't know what to do. Somebody please help us. (sorry, didn't mean to jack the thread)
