relatively close with a good driver. My b16 CRX with intake header exhaust ran a 14.9, but with a bad clutch. a decent clutch and you could get mid 14's.

I ran an ITR at the track but he couldn't drive... He ran a 15.3 to my 14.9. The best I have ever run in my 4dr was a 14.8@94. I think you should be able to run mid 14's with a crx.

I think it can be done, I've seen that low of times with those mods.

I just ran a 14.5 @ 96mph with only intake, exhaust, advanced timing 2 degrees and stripped interior... with all that extra weight in the CRX (remember, the ITR comes slightly 'stripped' from the factory) the torque-less B16 will be slowed quite a bit.

Just drive it and find out

Yeah, it should be pretty close... but trust me, if you don't know how to drag race... you'll lose!!

b16 could beat a typeR with a good driver and good launch. i've seen it done on several occasions. There is a yellow type R in town with full mugen exhaust and headers and i pulled him by about 1 1/2 cars in my lsvtec full interior with only fPR.

i can easily walk itr's w/ my '88 hatch w/ b16. i/h/e, however it is fully stripped out, except for dash and heating ducts. but, it also has a rollcage.

my friend and I raced. b16'd hb vs type arghh. i walked him on the highway from a rolling start at 65mph. i think he would have owned me if we started from a dead stop though. lsd makes a pretty big difference.

Ran my buddys itr a few times from a dead stop i got him every time by a car length 0-100 but from a first gear punch he was up on me by half car everytime. I ran a 14.3 with i/h/e/ skunk manifold and camgears.

You should be able to at least be close. I've seen ITRs run low 14s stock, and low 15s with i/h/e. Driver will be the deciding factor as usual.

I've seen many B16a CRX's and they usually run 14.1 to 14.4, which is obviously faster than you standard type R.

It depends on the driver, but it also depends a lot on the car too.. There are so many different trim levels of CRXs, some stripped, some full interior, etc. Different B16 trannys, etc.

Just race.

Not to be rude or anything, but those times seem very slow to me. For both your car and the typr r's. What elevation are you?

Its also funny to see that there is a similar post in the ITR forum, and all of them say that the Type R will kill a b16 EF. Interesting......

it's not rude I know they are slow times but that's what a b16 powered hatch runs at 2800ft on a super shitty track.
