Better yet, Get a hold of a big jack. Lift the car off of the motor.
I like to take mine out the same way it went in at the factory, much easier that way.

Ok ive found plenty of how toos on the engine and tranny...thx alot... and is it expensive to rent a hoistor would it be cheaper to get a jack and lift the car...im located down here in gulf shores alabama... not too many of us down here
just a suggestion..
It's not that friggin hard, Dude. But it's definitely not the 1st project I'd attempt to tackle with a vehicle.
If u can drop the Tranny separate and you guys are strong enough to lift the motor I say do it that way. If not like someone said above borrow a big *** Jack and just drop it on the ground. If u can manage to take off the shift linkage ithink u can drop this motor onto the ground
After doing a clutch and flywheel with the motor still in the car, I rather have pulled the whole motor to separate the 2. Huge pain in the *** while both are in the bay. Pulling the motor and trans together as a whole is so much easier. Takes about an hour by yourself at a slacking pace to unbolt, drain, , disconnect and lift it all out.
Okay i have a jack just not a big *** jack to hold my motor as i was under the impression i needed... ima just yank it out... and as for the silverback...unfortunately i only have one... but he is usefull...gotta enjoy reading this stuff at 8am at work..
