my 99 civic si dont start anymore. first it seems like the battery was dieing because some of the cluster light was dim but i was able to roll down the window. i tried to jump start the car with a cable and nothing. it doesnt even crank with a key so i push start and it works. so i thought it was the starter and replaced it and still nothing. i think its an electrical problem and i dont know where to start. anyone else had this problem before?

 

Have the battery tested. Don't replace parts unless they test bad.

 

test your alternator next to see if its bad

 

alternator does not cause a no start or crank condition

 

i didnt buy a new battery or starter. we just took it out of my friends car and tried it that way. yea i am sure the alternator is not the problem. i think it has something to do with electrical.

 

check engine grounds, clutch switch, fuses
