Clutch hose leak - EG Hatch
I have a '93 EG Hatch with a d15b8 in it.
I just put in a new master and slave cylinder for the clutch back in november. I didn't start driving it daily until mid april of this year.
As of late, the clutch pedal has been getting closer and closer to the firewall every time I first start my car. Once the car is warm, the pedal is usually where it should be. Last night I decided to try bleeding it to see if that would help it. It did for a little bit but my transmission would still grind and it would still be hard to put in gear. I figured I would try changing the transmission fluid tonight. It seems to have only made it worse. Every time I tried to put the car in gear, it would not go in to first for anything, when I tried second the idle would drop extremely low, and when I tried 3rd and 4th (just to see what it would do) it died. The clutch pedal is now on the firewall, there's no room to press it down. I noticed that there is a small leak right after the soft hose where the hard line that goes to the slave cylinder meets the soft hose. I tried tightening the fitting on there and it wouldn't get any tighter.
I need to get this figured out asap because I'm a delivery driver and my job depends on my car.
I've been looking around online to try and find a solution and I came across this, http://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewP...idproduct=6739
I'm not sure how exactly this would work and if it would even work on my car judging by the picture, even though it says it will fit a d-series. The fitting opposite of the one that would go into the master cylinder looks like there's no way it would work on my car. Just to be clear this goes straight from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder right?
Can anyone please offer some insight? I have 12 hours to get this figured out, at least a temporary fix, until I have to be at work to deliver.
