Hey guys, I lost the key to my 2000 GS-R and like a dumbass I only had 1 key... I called mounts and they told me it would run me $250 for them to take out the ignition themselves so I read a few forums on here and figured out how to take out the ignition myself.
When I got the electrical connection cover and the plastic cover off the ignition.. I simply pressed the ignition a little bit and it popped right out.. Problem is, when I try to put the ignition back in to place, it won't click back in.... I was thinking maybe I would need the key to click over for it to lock back into place?

 

You should not need an ign, tumbler set, just go to Acura, have your vin, and they can cut you a new key, I have done it twice with my 94 Teg. 94

 

thanks for the suggestion but my car was almost stolen recently so i had to buy a new steering column and get the tumbler set already
