I am ready to buy a motor for my 93 hatch. I'm looking for a D15B JDM version. I checked HMOTORS and he's sold out. Where else can I buy that is reputable like HMOTORS?

 

i would wait till hmotor has them in stock i dont trust any other place i never heard a bad thing about hmotors... tigerjapaneses (never heard a good thing about them) friend bought a sr20 swap from them and got ripped off...
trust me it worth the wait

try to find a place local. Theres a place local by me that sells and it may not be as cheap but at least you get to see it before you buy.

I live in UT we dont have places like that here. All I can find locally are used up 140k y8's. Not appealing to me.

 

Wait for hmotors, youll definately be happy with the engine you get once they get more in stock. I had to wait for my 2000 b20b and it was DEFINATELY worth it

 

Hmotors Hands down, their more expensive but you get what you pay for, My motor came with like 30k miles basicaly brand new. All sensors were good trannys been awesome. My b16a ripps like it has cams in it...

I've purchased two swaps from HMotorsOnline as well, and both turned out great. The best part is that they cary a lot of the accessories like JDM exhaust and suspension. That way you can buy it all at once to save time. Full SIR2 exhaust w/ cat fits perfectly and looks stock on a 92-95 hatch w/ b16 swap.

 

Ive read good things about Import Auto Salvage but have never personally dealt with them. I cant remember where it is located maybe someone else will chime in here. However I have bought 3 motors from HMO and they are great. As stated above deal with Steve.

 

i have bought a b18c1 from tiger japanese a great price and the motor was delivered to my back yard with in 5 days of ordering thats no bull trust me they are a great and reliable site

 

might be a bit of a wait. friend of mine that deals with this stuff reminded me yesterday that due to the earthquake no one has gotten any new inventory out of japan in months...

 

IAS used to be great (Larry Jr was my contact), but no longer does the hot rod Honda thing. They used to get containers from Japan all the time with seats and other cool stuff, but not any more. I think they are in north carolina. I personally bought Integra rear suspension and it was great. Price and shipping were outstanding too. Even when I noticed one of the LCAs was bent, they sent me another right away. All their parts were guarnateed.

Last time I contacted them (about a year ago) they didn't have any Integra parts...

 

I guess you're the exception. I'd rather walk than buy from Tiger Japanese.

 

hmotorsonline FTW.. mine came with 28,000mi.I had to pre order mine and wait a month..... the motor came so damn clean you could eat off of it!! only issue i had was a bad coil about 4 months after i dropped it in. runs great! myself i would not go with tiger-j, heard to many horror stories bout that place. on another note my good friend ordered a h23 vtec from them and it runs great,but it had more miles than they said!

How did you find out the excact miles?

I just bought a swap from hmotorsonline. My b18c was very clean. it was missing the crank pully but thas no big deal. I've bought 4 swaps 2 local 1 from password and 1 from hmotors. the hmotors was by far the best.
