What kind of paint should i use to paint Intercooler/Piping?

Default What kind of paint should i use to paint Intercooler/Piping?

Any suggestions what type of spray paint I should use to paint my intercooler and piping?
Also, just out of curiosity which painting the intercooler core have some kind of effect on power?

Let me know peoples! Need to get this done ASAP!

some people say it will lose power but ive seen it on dynos the loss is minimal if anything...just be sure to do very light coats of paint on the intercooler.

I used powdercoat with great success, and it's easy to keep clean.

I would powdercoat piping but not a ic. Isn't powder coating thick?

check to see if anyone chemically anodizes metal around your area. it's the best way to do both really. they dip the pipes and intercooler into a big vat, hit it with current and you get a colored film coating on the material.

like tial wastgates. how they come in colors. that coating is anodize

Just be aware than anodizing isnt as durable as powdercoating or painting the parts.I would anodize the cooler and powdercoat the pipes for durability.
