Default Slow build of Black 92 Si 5spd

Here's how car currently sits........

Here is the plan I have decided to go with for the build. The car will be black with gold rims and I am also gonna get engine bay painted gold to match rims. The car will be turbo'd just haven't figured out what I am using yet but I got time. The block will be built by Golden Eagle and head built by CCCylinder heads.

Block
Sleeving H23 ....................1,280.00
Final hone.......................... 220.00
Copper O ring ................... 50.00
Build service....................... 780.00
Arias pistons 9.5:1.............. 589.00
Eagle rods........................... 426.00
Total ..................................3,345.00

Head
Max Flow Package................800.00
Supertech Valve Train...........525.00
Total.................................1325.00

Still researching cams so if any suggestions let me know and why you suggest them.

You kidding me? I've sold my grandchildren into slavery for this build ... and I don't even have any kids yet ... lol

That's a good looking shell, keep us up to date as you get stuff going!

Will keep updating when get stuff rolling. Currently grandmother in hospital so focusing on her right now. When able to will start removing what I can from the engine bay so I can start to get it ready for paint.

Typemismatch have you got yours done yet and if so power you got and what cams you going with for the turbo I'm not that knowledgeable on cams.

She's doing alot better and might not have to get transfered to a different hospital which is good.

I got a question for people when doing the brake tuck which proportioning valve are you using. I was thinking it was the accord proportioning valve but lost the link I had and still trying to find it again lol. My mind ain't workin all that well. Also when running the lines would it be fine to run braided from fender wells to calipers and stainless every where else.

My car goes into the shop on monday for the build, I'm using the stock cams for now with stock cam gears. I figured I'd get it all dialed in on a basic turbo build and then start monkeying with it if I need more power.

I do have a full Skunk2 valvetrain though, to make sure it handles the extra heat.

you can use any 40/40 prop valve that was meant to be used with disk brakes if im not mistaken. I have to start my brake line tuck very soon. on my build. My harness will be home soon.

Ok will be looking at getting a 40/40 prop valve thanks for info thought it had to be from certain car.

Typemismatch your hatch looks pretty damn good. I will be following you build as well and with stock cams any idea on what kinda power you might be getting?

I'm pretty sure 400-450 whp on E85 is going to be where I land with the Prelude, the EG is going to be basically a stock H22 for this year.

My build is a bit interesting, I'm running 10:1 CP pistons, so a bit higher compression than normal for boost. Note I said "NORMAL", so plz no flames. I'm also running a Precision 5857, which is a bit smaller than what a lot of the big horsepower guys run, but I'm looking for spool time, not top end power.

I think I'm going to end up being limited by fueling. I'm only running ID1000s and a Walbro 255, which under E85 is probably equivalent to about a 700cc injector. I'm thinking I can run the fuel pressure up to probably around 50psi safely with the ID1000s. We'll see though.

I did LA sleeves for 800 for everything, your paying a bit much for rods (300) and the pistons should be around 500. I would run 10:1 pistons makes the turbo spool up pretty quick and 1000cc injectors should do fine up to 5 to 600 whp.

Thanks for looking but will be a few days before start doing anything my grandmother ended up passing away.

I checked you build xmod looks good but don't think i got enough skill for the shave yet but as start this might get brave and go for it.

Typemismatch, I'm looking for something that spools quickly to that why will take me awhile on the turbo part cause gotta do alot of research to find which one I want.

Thanks for all and will be back on in a few days

Sorry to hear about your grandmother, my condolences on your loss.

As soon as mine is together I'll let you know what I think about the lag. I'm hoping the combination of the .63 a/r hot side, 10:1 compression and a high flow mani will make for insane spool times.

Update..........
I have sold the prelude and I am currently working on a deal to purchase a CRX to drop the H22 that I have in yard into. The engine build will basically be the same but might go all motor on this not sure yet. Also might just sale h22 and grab h23 to build and stay with engine build plan. Sorry to get hopes up but sometimes things change and you gotta move to another project. So my next project will be CRX hopefully if everything works out and if so will be putting build in the CRX section here.
