Default b20vtec compression question

so i finally got my b20vtec up and running, but it needs a tune bad when i give it a lil gas it just seems fall on its face. i also did a compression test and my numbers are 175 185 170 170 which across the board is fine but seem a lil low my setup is

84mm b20 block with srp 10.5:1 compression piston which are rated with a b16 head
gsr head decked about .012 which from what i calculated on the zeal compression calculator with the pistons i have and decking should be around 11.0:1
hy-tech rep small tube header going to 3 inch cat and 3 inch exhaust
aebs mani with edlbrock 65mm tb
3 inch intake piping
skunk2 tuner stage2 cams
370cc injectors and 255 fuel pump

again i know it needs a tune hence why it runs like crap but im just wondering if maybe something else would be causing it to run the way it is like maybe the exhaust setup. it also ticks pretty loud in the head i think i need to redo the valve adjustment i may have a lil to much clearence which in turn may also cause some issues. any suggestion would be appreciated

also my cams are set on zero not sure if the fact they dont have any separation would cause lower compression but im gonna advance intake 1 degree and retard exhaust 1 degree and see what i come up with

How did you do the test? did you disable your fuel injectors or pump? Your car needs to be tuned. At those cam gear settings and a possible basemap? You can't really expect it to operate much differently.

i did the test with ecu fuse disabled and i know it runs the way it does because it needs to be tuned im more concerned with the compression results i would think it should be higher then what it was. im hoping its just the fact that it only has 50 miles on it and the rings haven't set yet. it also needs a valve adjustment which may cause low numbers to a degree, but other then the low compression numbers the cars performs how i would expect being untuned.

also as far as the cam gear settings i spoke with brian at skunk2 about quick setting since my car is gonna be street tuned first and was told +4 degrees on both intake and exhaust cams so im gonna re adjust the valves again and run those settings then street tune it next week

The rings probably haven't completely seated, but the tester gauge you use could be off a little as well. For compression testing, the most importand thing is consistancy rather than absolute values. Those cam quick settings that Brian gave you sound like they're crank degrees rather than cam degrees...which would = +2 cam degrees and sounds more reasonable.

Well he asked me what cam gears I had and I told him and he said +4 on both but I agree that seems a bit much and I may just go the +2 like you said but yea the compression is within 15 psi of each other which is under the recommended 20 percent. I'm gonna tune it and but some more miles on it then test it again

from what i read its cam degrees i advanced both 2 degrees and it feels a lot better did one small 4k rpm pull and noticed my wideband pegged to 16.0 a/f ratio and let off and took it back up the block and turned her off lol. im done driving it for now im gonna tow it to my tuner next week
