Icon2 COOL GAUGES! ------->>> Can I do IT??

2000 Civic Si

Hey would it be possible after reading wiring diagrams to put this motorcycle Gauge Cluster into my Si?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LCD-d...item19c5e2d6db

Heres my reasons why I think its practicle and flow wih the Car. On my OEM Gauge Cluster the Fuel gauge itself is broken also is Engine temp. I need to get a new tach anyway because the oem shows Redline @ 8K RPM stock... my final reason is my car isnt stock. I've had it in my garage for 4 years and have been "unstocking" it. Idk I think it would look pretty cool in place of the Stock Cluster obviously molded in. My VAFCII is blue led I have a 3 Gauge Pillar that Im going to put the Colbalt Digital LED Oil TEMP, Oil Pres and Boost.
Fuel/Air Pressure are on the Vtec controler. Think it can be done?

You could probably. Do it if you broke it down and fabbed up some fiberglass shroud or something

I don't think I could deal with the brightness, I hope that's adjustable.

(connecting the two red cars speedometer rpm motor show will be twice as fast, because the two points each turn red is a fire! a red two-and four-punch is rotated to punctuate a fire!) Note: The project is a rotating two-punctuate Fire motorcycle work.

This was on the ebay page, wtf does all that mean lol

Yea it seems really bright. I was just gonna put a capacitor on it so I can turn down the brightness. Or hope that it has that option allready built in.

Just saying...you can get a used...working...si cluster for like 75 bucks...and a good tach that will redline where ever you want it for....

and save probably 400 bucks in fiberglass molding and 15 hours wiring....

It'd be cool...but at that point...why not just do something like a s2000 cluster....

I mean, youd prob be the first person to do this...so if your going on the show car circuit, then by all means....but just know what your getting into.

Yea I would like to take it to shows. I've spent a lot of money and time on the car. Rebuilt the entire engine with performance parts and many other addons. After I put the bodykit on instead of painting the car my buddy owns a Graaphics company they do a lot of vehicle wraps so Im designing a custom wrap for it, should be pretty bad ***. Im also putting in a 2007 Civic Steering wheel and debating on wether or not to put the corresponding Nav unit or get an aftermarket one. Found Both the Wheel and Nav unit for $300 Doesnt come wire harness' so Ill have to find a stock one and 15 more hours of wiring LOL I dont mind though I just moved back in with my parents so I like hiding in the garage with my spare time. The wiring of the Gauge itself actually shouldnt be too difficult just read the Hayes manual and find the wires on the harness from the old cluster cut em and reroute.

^It's not going to be as easy as you think sir. :/

edit: even 15 hours is an understatement....if you count research time...i'd give it 20+ hours for someone well experienced with wiring... and at minimum wage that's nearly enough to get you a very nice cluster. G'luck
