Default 2004 civic humming sound

My car would not start after work, I was able to jump it to get home. It would not start back up... I was thinking alternator, but there appears to be a humming sound coming from the Ignition 40 amp fuse. Sounds like that was the battery drain.. is it that simple? Is it really just a bad fuse?
Thanks for the help!

How old is that battery? I would have it charged/checked. Also check the battery terminals. The positive is known to corrode and cause problems.

Was the fuse bad?

As noted, check the battery. It may be time for a new one. While you're at it, have the alternator checked.

Is the battery light in your gauge cluster on, or intermittently blinking?
