If you know a bit about soldering, it is quite easy. I've done many of these. Once you have the climate control out open it up and get to the board. Once you have it out resolder or reflow the pins on the two main connectors. They may look fine at a glance but they need to be resoldered/reflowed as they are notorius for having cold solder joints. This will fix the problem. If you need more help let me know.

so the pins where the plug plugs in are the parts that need to be re soldered? do i do all the pins and will it make my lights turn back on? i know how to solder but i dont wanna ruin it and have to find another one. there are repair services but they are costly and the wait time varies. for a bit more i could get a jdm one. ill try it tomorrow and hopefully it goes well thanks

If you really know how to solder, it won't take five minutes to repair. Over time the joint break from the changes in temperature and from the angle of the plugs.
Your lights will come back on, yes -- as long as the lights inside the unit are not burnt out. In mine only one was still working. I think those lights are a few bucks a piece to get from the dealer.

Also, a JDM DCC requires a whole lot more work than just throwing in the control unit (i.e. removal of dash). If you just install the control unit, nothing will work.
