h22 in 96EK shifter question......
just gotta cut a hole in your floor man... its been a while since ive done that swap, but if i remember right, about six inches in front of your stock shifter location cut a hole 2in wide and 1in long, run the cables through it and place the shifter bracket wherever you want the sucker as long as they reach, bolt it in.... kind of a "pretend youre Jesse James in the Monster Garage" type of thing.
he's rite... just like that..try and measure the holes best u can.. in fact they show it in the sport compact car magazine where they do a h22 swap in to an eg i think.. its the same as the ek basically. thats what i went off of.
I believe place racing has an adapter box that you can use that doesnt require much cutting to the frame. It actually looks really nice and neat.
yes...i have the place racing box..it cost 229.00......it mounts the whole shifter assembly under the car...u then have to cut the round stock hole in ur floor to a square hole to match the box..then silicone it all up and its ready to go..mine works very well.
