Icon2 Blue smoke when accelerating after long idle

Ok guys, i've gotten a lot of helpful information from reading through these forums on several occasions but i've finally ran into something that i need to post for. I have a 1995 Honda Accord EX V6 2.7L with 161,900 miles and it's doing two things that make me suspect soemthing is wrong with my valves.

First off, when i start it up from a cold start, for about 5-10 minutes until it gets warm there's a pretty loud ticking noise, which i've read is valve related. I read in some places a valve adjusment will fix this but then i read in other places that the valves on this engine are hydraulic controlled or something and can't be adjusted, can anyone clear that up for me?

Along with the ticking, whenever my car idles for 2+ minutes and i go to accelerate, i get a nice long puff of blue smoke for about a minute or so and then it stops until i idle for 2+ minutes again. I'm thinking the ticking and this issue are related in some way but i am not car savy enough to really figure out what exactly is causing the problem. I've read maybe valve stem seals or something like that but i'm still not sure. Just wanted to see if anyone could take this ticking noise and blue smoke problem and give me some solid ideas on what could be causing one or both if they are related. Thanks guys.

Yes the valves are adjustable because the FAQ sticky gives a how to.

The only sticky-FAQ valve adjustment how-to's i see are for the F22A, F23A, and H22 engines. Mine is a C27A... So not much help there unless one of those engines are similar to mine.
