Default machine shop experts... block fixable?????

the guy that sold me the block bent the transmission bolt while unscrewing and took a chip off the block. fixable????? can the shop weld it back together and re-thread the hole???

Yes...a good machine shop should be able to repair that without a problem...

I have seen a very similiar break on a cast aluminum tranny housing (shifter linkage), that was repaired without a problem, that linkage sustains alot of pressure and held up...

A shop having skills in aluminum welding should be able.Doesn't seems that hard to repair.

But it suck's.....
